ATP FRC · down to −20 °C · Barcelona ⇄ Sežana
From Barcelona to Sežana,
the doors open twice.
Once when we load. Once when we unload. In between, your goods do not change vehicle, trailer or driver — because the same two people drive them the whole way.
We reply the same working day.
- ATP FRC
- down to −20 °C
- two drivers
- Sežana, since 2013
Every transhipment is one more open door.
In a groupage network a pallet passes through several pairs of hands: loading, terminal, transhipment, another carrier, another terminal. Every step means an open door and a swing in temperature. None of that is unlawful — but it is measurable.
One crew, one vehicle
−21.0 °C at every point
Network with transhipment
temperature swings at every transhipment
The diagram does not claim that anyone breaks the rules. It claims only that transhipment means opening doors — which is true of every network.
One route. Known in full.
We do not drive everywhere. We drive one route — which is exactly why we know it down to the individual stop.

Times apply to a two-driver crew and exclude loading, unloading and customs. Distances ±3 %.
Barcelona in one run: around 20 hours is possible, but that version depends on the statutory driving-time extension, which we may use twice a week per driver. We therefore offer it by arrangement — not as a standard service.
We cross France in transit. If there is suitable freight on the route we take it, but we do not market France as a regular lane.
Give us a temperature, not “cold”.
Refrigerated transport is not one temperature. Frozen fish at −21 °C and tomatoes from Almería at +12 °C are two different jobs — and confusing them destroys the load.
- -21 °C Deep frozen frozen fish and seafood
- -18 °C Quick frozen fish and seafood, frozen vegetables, bakery
- -12 °C Frozen meat cuts, butter (−10 °C)
- +2/+7 °C Chilled minced meat, poultry, cheese, red meat
- 0/+2 °C Fresh — cold lettuce, peaches, strawberries, cabbage
- +10/+13 °C Fresh — sensitive tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, courgettes
Winter crops from Almería and Murcia are chilling-sensitive. Tomatoes, cucumbers and courgettes are damaged at 0–2 °C even though they count as “fresh” produce. That is why our enquiry form asks what the goods are, not only what temperature you want.
The values for frozen and chilled goods are prescribed by the ATP agreement. The settings for fresh produce are industry good practice, not regulation.

Loading place, unloading place, temperature, number of pallets and date — that is everything we need to quote.
Frequently asked questions
What does ATP class FRC mean?
FRC is the class for a mechanically refrigerated vehicle with reinforced insulation (K ≤ 0.40 W/m²K) that holds an internal temperature between +12 °C and −20 °C at an outside temperature of +30 °C. It covers every category of frozen and chilled goods under the ATP agreement. The certificate is valid for six years.
Why two drivers?
Because the vehicle keeps moving while one driver rests. On a long leg that saves an entire daily rest period: we link Barcelona and Milan in 14–15 hours with no stop for rest, which a single-driver crew cannot do.
Do you run at weekends, when driving bans apply?
In France, perishable goods are permanently exempt from the ban on vehicles over 7.5 tonnes between Saturday 22:00 and Sunday 22:00, and in Croatia from the summer coastal restriction. With the right vehicle and the right paperwork, the load keeps moving when general freight is standing still.
What is your liability if the goods are damaged?
The CMR Convention applies: the carrier’s liability is limited to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight short, roughly €10 per kilogram depending on the SDR exchange rate. For higher-value goods we can agree a declared value under Article 24 CMR.
